This article intends to help you understand how to set up Special Pricing for your products that are listed in Mirakl marketplaces. ChannelUnity allows you to do this quickly and easily by mapping fields that contain this price data that can update your offer with.
Why should I set up a Promotional price on my Offer?
Setting up discounted prices on your products is a fantastic way to entice customers to your product. It can grab their attention more especially when there is a visible reduction on the listing such as strike through pricing.
In addition to this, many Mirakl marketplaces organise promotional offer periods in which your catalogue can be showcased. This will vary depending on the operator, but typical times of the calendar year for these promotional periods could be Black Friday or Christmas Sales.
How to set up a discount in ChannelUnity for your Product Offer?
Setting up a discount price for your mirakl marketplace requires the mapping of 3 fields:
- Special Price
- This is your discount price. You should follow marketplace guidelines as to how much the price should be reduced by, but typically you would expect this price to be lower than your main price mapping.
- Special Price From Date
- This should be the start of the discount period for your Special Price. This should be formatted as YYYY-MM-DD
- Special Price To Date
- This should be the end of the discount period for your Special Price. This should be formatted as YYYY-MM-DD
To set up these mappings you can either add these fields in Describe Product Fields or you can add these as field mappings in a Listing Setting if you want to apply the discount to specific products.
Once you have mapped these fields, ChannelUnity will begin sending Price feeds including the promotional offer. This will be picked up in the Mirakl marketplace as an updated offer and you should soon see your product listing with your new pricing.
