The item specifics available to display are dependant on the category the listing has been uploaded to.
If there are some you would like to use but have not been sent to the listing, please follow the below process.
Any missing item specifics are added per category. Meaning all other products listed to that category will also be fixed when we’re done.
If you view the SKU on eBay, you can see the category at the top of the page.
In CU in Listed, there is an eye icon on the very far right of the page. Clicking on this will bring up the listing on eBay.
Here we are using an example in the wristwatches category on eBay UK, but this can apply to any category on any eBay
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311280718932
You’ll see a category like:
Jewellery & Watches>Watches, Parts & Accessories>Wristwatches>See more Relda Time Teacher Blue & Navy Velcro Strap Bo…
Ignore the ‘See more….’ bit.
So we see the product is in wristwatches, as expected. That’s the first step just ensuring it’s in the right category.
If you click on the category link itself, specifically on the ‘wristwatches’ part. ie. the most specific part of the category, or the leaf as we call it.
Look at the URL, and make a note of the category ID as this is important:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/Wristwatches/31387/bn_1676345
31387 in here is the category ID, and if you ever make a request to our support team to add an item specific we need this value.
Now, to see which item specifics you can have, take a look at the left side of the page.
There’s lots of filters like Brand, Movement, Strap Material etc.
These are all the most popular item specifics, and right at the bottom you’ll see ‘More Refinements’.
Click on this and you see all the ones that are available, these are the ones CU can populate for you.
If you see some here that you require, and they aren’t being populated by CU, please sent in a support request with the following information:
eBay Category ID (31387 in or example)
eBay Category Name (Just for cross referencing to ensure we have the right ID, Wristwatches in our example or the full path even)
Item Specific name you want to use.
SKU you have listed in that category where the item specific is missing.
Our support team are happy to add the occasional item specific as and when required.
Please note however that should a large number of categories and/or item specifics be requested, we may have to discuss a managed support fee for the resources used to accomplish this.
