From the start of 2021, eBay will need to know if your listings contain VAT or not.

This can be achieved by editing your listing setting(s), going to Optional Fields > Listings tab.

Then populating ‘VAT rate to apply’, which is currently 20% in the UK.

If your listings are not VAT applicable please populate the field with 0.

Once amended, please reupload any affecting listings.

IMPORTANT:

Without this setting in place, eBay will assume the VAT rate is 0, and will add (inflate) your listing prices by 20% where applicable.

ChannelUnity cannot make the assumption for you that all listings include VAT, you must actively apply this setting yourself.

We will be reaching out to customers who do not have this setting to inform them of this coming change.

After March 2021, it will become a requirement to have this field populated to successfully upload your listings.
